Not only am I testing Ann's summer mystery- I found the spring mystery by Cindy that I started and never got very far on. So I've been doing both for a week or so. This one I have 3 rows of 4 down. One more to go and Ann's I have 6 of 11 rows done .Don't panic I'm doing a queen and I could be done a long time ago if I had done the twin. Love quilt pieced and I need to do borders before p/t tomorrow and load it on the frame
As quilters, we all do it. We look at a pattern and say I can make that. Usually using our eq or good 'ol pencil and paper and draft a pretty quilt. Some of our friends sell their patterns and we're not being fair :(. I saw this pretty pattern on a blog over the weekend and said I have TONS of scraps I can make this and I did. But as I was sewing it I got to thinking how unfair it was...so I bought the pattern anyway- and left a note with payment that I would GIVE the pattern to the FIRST person to tell me where I saw the pattern. Leave a comment and then send me an email with your address and the pattern designer will mail you a copy so you can play too :-D
I'm looking for 13 star buttons to make the circle of stars like the first American flag. I'm hoping to quilt it tomorrow and bind it over the weekend.
Look who I found Nancy snuggling with- Wally the Red Sox mascot -lol
Did some major cleaning of the sewing area- got caught up on my leader/ender project, a Scrappy Bargello I think I have 10 more strips to sew on 5 sections and then the fun starts. Hopefully Tues when hubby gets paid I can buy another bolt of muslin and start getting some of this pile of quilts quilted. But it's been so humid lately that other than going out in the morning to do some weeding, I run indoors where even w/o the ac on it's cooler if I keep the curtains drawn against the sun......

Was this the place you saw your flag pattern? Flags are all around now, and loads of fun.
Really like the flag pattern. Darn, I can't think of a place to find star buttons but I will look for you tomorrow.
Nancy is getting quite the personality....nice kitty!!!!
I saw wooden and red star buttons at JoAnn's this afternoon, but I can't rmember if they had white ones. I could check if you'd like. What is Nancy doing cuddling with the opponent?
Wally? You have a Wally in Yankee territory? I'll forgive you. Our Wally has been enjoying Vancouver and Whistler. Photos will come this weekend.
No it's not Amanda's blog - sorry.
OK, since no one else is guessing where you got the pattern, I'll try again. lOL
