It's Really Almost Christmas

Last night hubby took me to Joann's to buy kona cotton on sale for the NYE mytery that Ann is doing on some of the yahoo groups.

My darling son has been a Bills and Sabres fan since he was really little. Why we don't know but the only bright spot to him of the still possible move to Buffalo is going to the games. Silly man so he asked if the mystery quilt could be for him.

Anyhow we were talking about though all the shopping is pretty much done and wrapped I still don't feel "Christmassy". No bah humbug but just no warm fuzzies :(

Then while driving home I heard this song:

So 80's I know but this and U2's Please Come Home for Christmas:

are 2 of my favorite songs for the holidays. I loaded my ipod of assorted Christmas music today while working on my 30's kitchen sink's borders.
While taking a break I was reading some favorite blogs and I see Nines if talking about her family's Feast Days. I wish my 2 were smaller to start a tradition like that.

So what are your favorite Christmas songs/ hymns?

My absolute favorite Christmas song is Amy Grant's Grown-Up Christmas Wish.

I love Breath of Heaven also by Amy Grant.
Then again, I love them all! Another favorite is Bing Crosby's White Christmas.
Been listening to Christmas music since Sept.

I love the classic Christmas songs. Although anything by U2 is in my top 2.From your post on November 26th I a have a question- I have a sewing machine very similar to the one you have pictured and mine also needs to be rewired-where did you get yours done?(My sister lives in northern N.J. as well and I'm not too far from her.)

It is never too late to start new traditions - try something new this year just to see if you like it - and if you do like it - make a point to do it again next year - presto! new tradition! And - sometimes the simple things make the best traditions. Enjoy your songs!
Cheers!
