What to do with HSTS

Since I can't get myself motivated to sew I've been playing with EQ and designing more scrappy quilts :) I have a bagillion hsts and I'm tired of making the same old quilts. I had done this originally in EQ as a 2 color quilt.

But then I wanted to color and decided to play and came up with this.

See the pinwheel you get when you put 4 blocks together....

7 X 9 blocks makes this:

I'm not sure red will be the pinwheel color or if I'll try and make them all different or not but it was fun to play for alittle while.

I might just have to "steal" this pattern from you and make it. Blogging should come with a warning: Warning! Reading blogs about quilting is hazardous to your Stash!! mmmm... I might have to make a little badge of that....

I love the color combination in the second pic.

There's something about the pinwheel pattern that sends me right back to my childhood. I love it!....probably because I loved pinwheels as a child and used to make my own.

I like it both ways, Kim, but the second is my favorite.

Hey Kimmy-
I have a file folder full of HST patterns and pics - I'll bring it with me friday - I like these too, but you can never have too many ideas.

Love the overall pattern, but be careful with that block... by itself it looks like something else. Something not so good. :)

What a great way to use up lots of HSTs. Especially love how you're planning to make pinwheels appear within the pattern :)
