I'll Say it again, BREAST CANCER SUCKS!!

I found out this morning that the wonderful woman I made this quilt for died yesterday after a terribly long battle with breast cancer. I've known the family for 11 years, Robin had cancer probably 8 of them . The last few years she was in clinical trials. While I know how proud she was of her daughter that was in my Girl Scout troop, it breaks my heart to know she will miss seeing the younger two graduate high school.
God Speed my friend....

I am so sorry to hear about your friend. The quilt is beautiful and I am sure she felt your love for her everytime she used it. Hopefully one day there will be a cure for this dreadful disease.

Oh Kim, I'm very sad to hear of this. It gives me chills to think of how you must be feeling and her family, oh my. Bless you and bless them all.

And Kim, I'm so glad you made her this quilt. I know she was glowing when you gave it to her and she shines down upon you...

In prayer, *karendianne.

Oh, Kim, I'm so sorry that she is gone. There are really no words that can be said that will comfort.
Life is so short.
Prayers for the family and you.

Sorry to hear of your loss. My sympathy to her family.

I'm blog-hopping my way through Chookyblue's SSCS list to see who else is playing along.

I am so sorry, Kim. It's wonderful that you made the quilt for her and she knew the love that went into it. I feel sad for her children.

I work with cancer clinical trials and I have seen a lot of great developments over the years. However, unfortunately, under the Bush administration, funding to the National Institute of Health was cut back drastically undermining the goal to eradicate cancer inour lifetime.
