Once Upon a time......

I was a quilter. Now I don't do much of anything. The stack of boxes still sits in the sewing area. I've been asked today to make a quilt for a raffle for the Masons so I guess I need to clean it up and get a move on it.

A couple of weeks ago I was playing with making jellies and preserves and that took alot of time and mess to do. Now I'm joining a bread baking blog challenge. I won't be doing it daily but I'd love to learn how to make good homemade bread.

Tomorrow is a goof off day with DD. We're heading to the beach just the two of us. Should prove to be a fun day. Hope we don't fry.

With hubby home he's been doing some much needed tlc projects around the house, painting etc.

So here's a pic of my silly friend Moose.

Does this basket make my butt look big?

I'm afraid this will be me soon - doing other things. WIth the upcoming wedding of my daughter and fall coming with all the stress of preserving our garden - I can't see I'll have much time to sew. Oh well. The kitty is so cute.

Nice to hear from you, and I too used to be a quilter. I will get back to it sometime, soon I hope. Hope you had a nice beach day and that Bill didn't spoil the adventure!

Boy, I can relate, I too, used to be a quilter.
So funny, I just posted about not quilting lately, on my blog.
Your kitty Moose looks amazingly like my male cat, Desi. He is my sewing buddy.

Great photo of Moose. Are you not moving? As much as I hate to say it - I hope the Yankees beat the Tigers this week.

I used to be a quilter too, seems like so many other things are calling to me now though. Occasionally I look at my machine and fabrics with longing but mostly I just think how much room there would be if all the stash was gone!
Haven't quite reached the point of letting it go yet though so I think there is still hope!
